Baking powder & salt

Vanilla

Brown & white sugars

Chopped apples & walnuts

Step 1

Whisk together the flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Mix in cold butter until coarse crumbs form. Refrigerate while you make the cake batter.

Step 2

Stir together the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt. Set aside. Beat together the butter and sugars, then beat in the eggs and vanilla.

Step 3

With the mixer on low, alternate adding 1/3 of the flour mixture and 1/2 of the milk. Repeat until all the flour mixture and milk are incorporated.

Step 4

Stir in the apple cubes and chopped walnuts until combined.

Step 5

Transfer the batter to a greased half sheet pan, sprinkle with crumb topping, and bake at 350-degrees for 30 minutes.

Step 6

Stir together the powdered sugar and milk, drizzle over the cooled cake. Serve and enjoy!
