Cheesecake Ingredients

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Melt butter in saucepan. Stir in sugar and bring to low boil. Stir until sugar has dissolved (about 5 min.).

Step 2

Remove pan from heat and stir in cocoa, salt, baking powder, and vanilla until combined. Allow to cool for 5 minutes.

Step 3

Whisk in the eggs, one at a time, and then the flour. Stir the mixture until smooth.

Step 4

Beat the cream cheese until no large chunks remain. Add the sugar, flour, vanilla, half & half, and eggs and mix until smooth.

Step 5

Stir the chocolate chips into the brownie batter. Transfer 1/2 the batter to a greased, parchment lined, 9x13-inch pan.

Step 6

Pour the cheesecake batter over the brownie batter. Drop the remaining brownie batter by spoonful onto the cheesecake layer.

Step 6

Using a table knife or spatula, swirl the brownie batter with the cheesecake batter to create a marbled look.

Step 6

Bake for 45 - 55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean. Allow the brownies to cool completely before cutting.
