Step 1

Preheat the oven to 350-degrees F. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the pumpkin, baking soda, salt, and spices.

Step 2

Add the oil, eggs, and sugar and whisk until completely combined.

Step 3

Use a rubber spatula to fold in the flour, chocolate chips, and pecans until just combined.

Step 4

Transfer the batter to a greased and floured 9x5-inch loaf pan and spread evenly.

Step 5

Bake for 1 hour or until a pick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool for 15 minutes then remove from the pan to finish cooling.
